Exploring our new classroom and working hard
Harvesting our food we planted in Reception. We all have green fingers and enjoyed eating the tasty food!
Autumn 2 - We have been reading some Traditional Tales in English and we have our own castle/fairy tale area to make up our own. We have been looking at different types of houses and made some out of Lego.
We have been reading the Traditional Tale, Little Red Riding Hood. In groups we took on the role of the characters and retold the story.
Maths - problem solving
Hot Seating the Big Bad Wolf
Recognising and Naming 3D Shapes
Homes in the Past - We have been looking at houses in the past. We have looked at objects that people would use in Victorian times. Mrs Ryan brought in an object (hot water bottle) from the past and we had to guess what it was. Here are some of our guesses....
Worship - We thought of the story of Jesus telling his disciples to spread the news of Jesus. We thought of who we could tell about Jesus. At the end we had a time of stillness and quiet to reflect on our thoughts.
DT - We have designed and made a house in the style of the artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
