The Maya

In history we will be studying the Maya who lived in Central America and were very powerful for 4000 years but particularly around 900 AD. We will look at their society, hierarchy, writing and number system, how they lived and farmed.

In English we will do a book study on the book Wonder about a child who has a facial disfigurement and is going to school for the first time at the age of 10.  He is an ordinary kid who plays Xbox, is obsessed with Star Wars, but despite the 27 operations done for his face he will never look normal.

In Science we will be studying Electricity and how to make and draw circuits and how different components work and their symbols.
