Catch Up Funding
All schools are being provided with some additional funding to help children catch up with learning that was missed during partial school closure during the Coronavirus pandemic.
2021-22
KS1 and KS2 Resilience Workshops have helped all children in school
Groups in Year 5 and Year 6 have had reading intervention through Read the Game Programme
National Tutoring Programme has taken place in school between Jan 2022 and July 2022 for two days each week to enable a qualified teacher to work with identified children. We have seen a positive impact of this intensive support in helping build children's confidence in key areas.
2020-2021
As a school, we are paying our teaching assistants additional hours to lead intervention with the children or to work with the class on other activities, whilst the class teacher leads intervention.
Groups of children have been identified in each class and targets set relating to academic or pastoral support that is required. This intervention will be carefully planned and evaluated for impact.
In addition to this, we have bought 4 new i pads to add to our existing supply in school. These are used for reading and times table intervention.
