Spring 2

This half term we are travelling back to the Second World War. Our topic 'Keep the home fires burning' will focus primarily on the lives of children during the Second World War. We will explore:

  • The causes of the war
  • Evacuation
  • Living through the Blitz
  • Wartime homes
  • Rationing
  • Schooling
  • Roles of children in the war effort
  • How the end of the war was celebrated
