KS1 Animal Olympics
Mr Ferguson took a team of Year 2 pupils and he commented, what another fantastic group of talented young athletes we have in our school. Having not entered the event before we didn’t know what to expect but our pupils did us very proud. Again their sportsmanship shone through and we came 3rd out of 14 schools, another sporting event well done!
Sports Crew Leading the Sports Voice
Members of Sports Crew did a fantastic job in creating a list of rules on how to look after our new play equipment. The crew linked them to our school value of Respect and did a super job presenting them to the rest of the school.
KS2 Judo Club
Sports Crew and Sponsored Bounce
Sports Crew had the very important job of totalling the scores for the sponsered bounce. Our school friends club organised the event and we linked up with them to help them find the best bouncer from each class and the overall best bouncing class.
Year 3 and Year 4 Football Team
Year 3 and Year 4 football team have made us very proud after winning the Hyndburn Kids Cup! They won 5 games and drew 1. Well done footballers!!!
New Football Kit
We are very grateful to CMAC for sponsoring our new football kit and we are really looking forward to the year ahead. Last year we won the League!!
Inclusive Multi Sports
Pupils were selected to represent our schools at the Inclusive Multi Sports event at Oakhill College. There were lots of fun activities the children loved participating in. They did the school very proud with their efforts.
We have entered the football league again this we after our success of coming runners up last year. We have also had our first football tournament of the year (FA Kids Cup) and we were fantastic and again came runners up! This means we have an invite to attend Finals Day were we will play other successful schools. The boys and girls are a real credit to the school and super representatives always showing great sportsmanship.
This year we have been lucky enough to enter a team into the Hyndburn High Five Netball league. The team have had their first matches and loved every minute. They showed fantastic enthusiasm and worked very well as a team. Watch this space!
Tots on Tyres
Reception pupils had fantastic fun learning how to ride balance bikes safely. They grew in confidence and were real experts by the end of the week.
Accrington Stanley Multi Skills Club
Starting 9th Januarty 2016 for 5 weeks there is a Multi Skills Club starting. It is open to boys and girls in KS1 the cost is £15 and the club is from 3.20pm till 4.20pm. Below are some pictures of Winstanley's visit to promote the Multi skills club. The children loved meeting him.
