Autumn 2
This half term, we are travelling back to Tudor England and will be finding out about how they came to power, through the War of the Roses. We will focus quite closely on King Henry VIII and his 6 wives and will also be learning about what life was like for the rich and poor. Within our learning, we will also find out about some of the Tudor punishments. Within our science learning, we will learn about teeth and digestion and even link to Tudor times, when the barber would have removed rotten teeth!
In our English, we are going to look at The Prince, The Cook and Cunning King, by Terry Deary, which will help us to innovate our own historical setting story. Later in the term, we will then use our story to create a playscript and use the puppets we make in DT, to act out the play.
We will enjoy Forest School sessions each Tuesday, to participate in rich outdoor learning experiences and also take part in German sessions to describe family members.
